  1. I have heard wonderful stories about the beauty of the Victoria Falls on the Zambezi river in Africa and I was just wondering if anyone here has an actual experience of this place? I would love to see it one day as it's listed as one of the seven wonders of the world. Can anyone share their experience?
  2. I would like to know what advice those of you experienced travelers would give to someone traveling to Asia for the very first time in terms of what to bring with you to make your stay more convenient, which months to go during, what cultural rules to ensure that you don't break and so on, rather than the places to visit. Thanks.
  3. I think that you should mainly avoid France because the food there is very expensive as compared to other countries. I think you could try Southern Spain - Portugal is quite cheap as FolkArtist has said and it's great for wild camping. If you go during surfing season you will be able to join one of the numerous surf camps if you prefer and you get everything from the accomodation in a nice tent to the board rental and full board catered one place for one reasonable price.

    Plans to visit Seychelles

The Seychelles Islands are host to numerous nature reserves, beaches and coral reefs. You will be able to explore the mountain rainforests and see some rare animals like the giant Aldabra tortoises, relax on the beach with a tropical drink or even try out some of the other activities which include fishing which is reportedly superb according to some anglers. There is such a variety of things to do to make your trip worthwhile.

    Clifton Beach Karachi

I've never been there, but a quick search showed me that your description of it as 'the most romantic beach in Asia' is not at all an exaggeration! It looks unreal. I saw an image with a beautiful sunset over the beach and I think that of all the attractions in Karachi, I might rate this one #1 when it comes to beauty.

    Cheap Bangkok

While I was doing the research for my upcoming vacation, I did come across some incredibly low priced packages for Bangkok and I was truly amazed at the low costs of everything from hotel accomodations to the activities to be found in Thailand's capital. I think that I might particularly enjoy exploring the night markets in Bangkok.

    Balai Isabel in Batangas, Philippines

I would love to see a volcano at least once in my lifetime. This looks like an idea place for a vacation. The hotels overlooking Taal Lake have some spectacular, spell-binding views and that is a place that one should consider going to for a truly unique experience that will bring you closer to nature.

    Bohol, Philippines

Chocolate hills sounds like a great attraction. I remember reading about this geological formation somewhere and seeing such beautiful pictures of the Bohol Province. It looked so beautiful and divine. I wonder, though. If one wanted to visit that area, how would you do it, by car or foot - is there some sort of trail and so on?

    Subic Freeport

Thanks for your reply, Pravish. I think given all these choices the one that really grabs me is the one for hiring our own tent. I would totally love that if we were travelling as a group and we could have our own beach party, but if it's just us as a couple I think we would be better off going other places where we can enjoy the music and food in the company of other people.

Laiya beach resort in Batangas, Philippines

I have to say that staying in a tree-house sounds very, very appealing to me, and if I were to vacation in that area I would really love that experience. I've seen brochures of Laila beach resorts, and the white sand and crystal clear water is unparalleled when it comes to holiday destinations. I also read that the resorts offer an enticing variety of activities including snorkeling and hiking trails.

    Subic Freeport

That sounds like a wonderful place to visit. I have a couple of questions, though. What is the night life like on the beach in All hands beach? I ask because my partner and I just love going out to restaurants and seeing the night life and culture of a place which we visit. Do they have bonfires and fireworks on the beaches?

    Donsol, Sorsogon in Philippines

I went to Cape Town once on holiday and there I saw some sharks. I guess compared to whales that doesn't even come close. I hope to see one of those one day. Did you see the movie Moby Dick? If the size that they portrayed in the movie is the actual size of the whales then it's mind-blowing.

    Expensive Japan

I don't think that is true, at least not for everybody. I have friends who have been living in Tokyo for a few years now and they are doing very well for themselves. They went there to work as teachers and they have actually decided to extend their stay and from the stories that they share with us, it's a wonderful place.

    Visiting India

My first stop would be the deserts for Rajasthan. Unfortunately for me, all the sites that I have picked to visit are so widely spaced that there is no way that I would be able to see everything in one trip. I have a decision to make, whether I'm going to cut some sites out or just commit to another trip to India within the next couple of years.
